Nearly every alpaca gives birth during daylight hours. This probably is the result of their evolution in the Andes, where it's VERY cold at night and warm during the day.

That's because Baby alpacas (crias) simply had a better survival rate if they were born during daylight ... so alpacas evolved to naturally have their babies while the sun is up today.
