It's really easy to stick two alpacas together and get them breeding 'cause they're not very large or difficult to manage animals. Because of this, some people will repeatedly breed their alpacas without appropriate health checkups. So this could increase your risks.

But repeated breeding without reviewing the health of the uterine tract seems to lead to a much higher incidence of uterine infections. Generally, it's best to have your vet check your breeding females after no more than every 3 breedings.
