Knitters, weavers and hand-spinners will tell you that alpaca fiber makes a wonderful light-weight, silky-feeling yarn. Both Suri and Huacaya fiber share the same characteristics, but Suri fiber has more luster than its shorter counterpart.

Yeah! And the fiber is comparable to cashmere but less expensive and easier to process. If you've never felt Alpaca fiber, I have to warn you ... you're gonna want more!

Alpaca fiber also can be easily blended with other fabrics. It can be found in blends with silk, wool and angora, to name a few. You'll find it in sweaters, socks, scarves, blankets, gloves and hats.
