Are there any alpaca health check lists?

Here are perhaps the 7 most important things you need to keep watch for to be sure your Alpaca is healthy.
Ranchers inspect their animals periodically to make sure there are no problems. Here is a list of some of the conditions they look for:
1) Ears moving separately from each other. (If you see this, it can mean that mites or other insects are in one or both ears.
2) Regular comfortable breathing with relaxed nostrils.
3) No protruding teeth.
4) Bright, clear eyes that don't look irritated.
5) No abrasions on the body.
6) No abrasions on the pads of the feet or toenails that need to be clipped.
7) No matted fiber around the hindquarters. (This can indicate diarrhea).

It's also vitally important to get to know your Paca's droppings ... A vet or breeder can show you what you need to be aware of when inspecting your animals' droppings.

Significant changes in your alpaca's droppings can signal you that a parasite or disease has begun affecting your herd.
